JULIAN TORRES
I was tasked with creating a custom identity for Julian Torres Y Mariachi Cenzontle, the first mariachi act signed to Death Row Records. The brief had two requirements: incorporate roses and the Cenzontle bird.
The challenge was bringing those elements together in a mark that felt authentic to Julian and the tradition of mariachi while remaining distinctive, recognizable, and flexible across album artwork and brand applications.

The final identity brought the Cenzontle bird and rose imagery into a cohesive mark that could move between the album artwork, wordmark, and supporting applications while maintaining a distinct visual connection to Julian and the project.
Developed in collaboration with Julian Torres and producer Fredwreck, the final system balanced mariachi tradition with a contemporary identity built for its release through Death Row Records.
